ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SSNA AND OUR MEMBER CLUBS
We are all excited to confirm that planned Bellingara Court upgrade by Sutherland Shire Council is continuing to proceed. Contracts have been awarded, with fencing and construction to commence early next week with a completion date expected to be end April to early May.
Whilst this is a delayed construction start date, OUR COMPETITION WILL BE GOING AHEAD AS PER TIMETABLE WITH DAY 1 SET AS 2 APRIL.
There will be some changes to locations for the first half of the season and your Tournament Committee is working on a best available draw encompassing all three of our valued playing venues, Bellingara, Barden Ridge and Seymour Shaw.
What does this mean for you as a player?
Your club will place you in the appropriate team and teams will be graded as normal
Where you play for the first few weeks may change from Bellingara to Barden Ridge. This will depend on your age and team grading.
We are hoping the disruptions will be short lived. Once the construction and court renewal is complete, your Tournament Committee will revise the draw accordingly. A number of teams will return to Bellingara with some, mainly senior teams, remaining at Barden Ridge. Seymour Shaw for our 8’s, 9’s and net cohort remain unchanged in the draw. Should Seymour Shaw be affected by wet weather, we will look to make up games or provide a gala day to ensure all these valued young players enjoy their chosen sport.
